The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Staff Selection Board (UPSESSB) is going to organise a written test for the selection of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) at various examination centres across the state. The UPSESSB TGT PGT Admit Cards will be released by the board one week prior to the examination.

The Written test date for the 7950 vacancies of TGT is 8 and 9 March 2019 and for the 1344 vacancies of PGT is 1 & 2 February 2019. So candidates have very less time to prepare for the written test. UP TGT PGT Exam Pattern Syllabus & Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the written test organised by the board at various exam centres across the state. After successful completion of the written exam, the exam authority will call candidates for the document scrutiny at designated exam centres.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be given marks according to the following pattern. The whole selection process is divided into three phases in phase one the candidates have to undergo an OMR based multiple choice question type written test then they will be called for the document scrutiny where marks for the special qualification will be awarded to them. After those two phases, applicants will be called for the final step which is Interview.

  • Written Examination- 85% marks
  • Personal Interview – 10% Marks
  • Special Qualification- 05% Marks

However, the number of exam centres may increase or decrease depending upon the number of candidates applied for this exam.- Agra, Allahabad, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Moradabad, Bareilly, Meerut, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Faizabad.
